The Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

2. Who owns the Market?

The City of Cincinnati owns Findlay Market. It is built on land donated to the city in 1851 by the estate of General James Findlay for the specific purpose of providing space for a public market.

3. Who runs the Market?

Until recently, the City of Cincinnati was exclusively responsible for running Findlay Market. The Market is now in a transition period after which it will be managed by a private non-profit organization, the Corporation for Findlay Market.

4. How old is the Market?

Findlay Market was built between 1852 and 1855 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The original structure was an open-sided shed with an iron frame. Around 1912, the center tower was constructed, the market house was walled in, and plumbing was introduced. The Market was extensively renovated in 1973 and 1974. It was renovated again and expanded between 2002 and 2004. Much of the original cast and wrought iron frame has been preserved.
