Business Opportunities at Findlay Market

Find all the information you need about renting market stalls on this page. Quality space is available for rent both indoors and outdoors at Findlay Market. Regionally famous, centrally located Findlay Market offers free lighted parking, ADA accessible facilities, maintained public restrooms, weekly e-mail promotion, and a unique shopping environment. Indoor stands are more expensive than outdoor stands and are licensed to merchants on a long-term basis. Indoor vending is a full time (six days each week), year round occupation. Space in the outdoor market, located on the streets surrounding the historic market house, can be rented by the week, month, or on a daily basis for as little as $25.00 per day. Growers and cottage producers who qualify for the farmers market typically rent space by the season to sell on Saturdays, Sundays, and/or Tuesdays. Findlay Market is eager for new vendors in all three areas of the market and more information about each, including applications, rules, and rental rates can be found below.

Full Time Indoor Vending Stands

All full time indoor vending space at Findlay Market is currently rented. Applications for indoor year-round stands are being accepted, however. Applicants are placed on a waiting list and evaluated as existing stands become available and new vending space is developed.

Part-time / Seasonal / Outdoor / Farmers Markets Vending Information

General Outdoor Vending
Outdoor vending space is available year round on North and South Elder Street, adjacent to the market house. Outdoor stalls measure ten feet by ten feet. The market does not supply electric service, water, shelter, tables or chairs, or other amenities. Trucks, trailers and other vehicles are not permitted but the outdoor market will accommodate health department licensed, NFS compliant mobile food carts. Advance registration is generally required. Payment must be received before unloading or setting up. Market management assigns vendors to locations based on the type of product being sold and the vendor’s seniority in the market.

Farmers Market Vending
Space in the farmers market is reserved for vendors selling agricultural products they grow themselves. When space permits, the farmers market is also open to “cottage producers” who prepare food or craft items from scratch in their own homes. Cottage producers must complete and submit a Cincinnati Health department Food Information Form prior to selling at Findlay Market. The farmers market operates year round on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.; and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Findlay Market also operates a Tuesday drive time farmers market from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. June through November. Most stalls in the farmers market consist of nine foot wide parking spaces adjacent to an open sided shed. Growers may back their vehicles up to the shed, which provides some shelter from the weather. There is electric in the shed, but no water. The market does not provide tables or chairs.
