SNAP plus Program

Findlay Market | Cincinnati, Ohio

It’s time to kick off a summer of healthy eating because now is the best time of year to enjoy fresh produce from the farm or garden. And what better place to begin than at the Findlay Farmers Market!

The SNAP Plus program is back at the Findlay Farmers Market in 2012! The SNAP Plus program at Findlay Market helps families afford more fresh fruits and vegetables and other healthy food typically found in the Findlay Farmers Market.

Since 2007, food stamp shoppers have been able to use their EBT cards to purchase one-dollar brass tokens that they can spend like cash in our farmers market. SNAP Plus enhances this service by providing food stamp shoppers a match to their spending – spend five dollars from your EBT account and receive five dollars in farmers market tokens – effectively doubling your purchasing power of healthy fresh food.
