Juneteenth Weekend
The Market will be open from 9 AM - 3 PM on Juneteenth - Thursday, June 19
Celebrate Juneteenth with Findlay Market! We are so lucky to have many incredible Black-Owned businesses in our community. To celebrate, we will be hosting a Panel Discussion on Thursday, June 19 and a Tasting Event on Sunday, June 22.
Thursday, June 19: Juneteenth Panel Discussion
11 AM - 1 PM
In celebration of Juneteenth, we are hosting a free panel discussion in partnership with Black is Excellence about the history and significance of the holiday. We invite four Black community leaders to sit on the panel and speak on their personal experience with Juneteenth and what it means to them. This year’s panel will be moderated by Deasa Dorsey, a Community Educator, Patient Advocate, and Visionary.
Guests will break into groups for a guided discussion with a panelist, followed by the panel discussion.
Panelists include:
Alandes Powell (Executive Director & Co-Founder, Black Art Speaks)
Dr. Steven Kniffley (Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Associate Professor, and Higher Education Administrator at the University of Cincinnati)
Dr. Kelli Beecher (Assistant Professor, University of Cincinnati’s College of Nursing; Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner)
Norman D. Holloway (Success Via Chess)
Reserve your FREE ticket to the panel below.
